Step by Step Tutorial on How to make a Paper Plate Polar Bear

Step 1: Prepare the Paper Plate

  • Start by transforming your paper plate into the base of the polar bear’s face. Cover the plate with glue and let your child stick cotton balls all over it until the entire surface is fluffy and white.

  • Alternatively, crumple white tissue paper into small pieces and glue them on for a textured look.

Step 3: Create the Polar Bears Face

  • Glue a pair of googly eyes towards the top of the plate. If you don't have googly eyes on hand, you can create eyes out of construction paper instead.

  • Cut a medium-sized oval from black construction paper for the nose. Glue it in the center of the plate. Alternatively, you can create a more triangular shape like we did.

  • Use red or black construction paper to create a mouth for your polar bear and glue it under the nose.
